Mac-torrent software that keeps an old Mac useful

This is a working catalog, not a shop window. Every program listed here has been pulled from a Mac-torrent and put through its paces on machines that most folk would have retired. The lot runs on older versions of macOS — Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, sometimes even El Capitan. If a piece of software needs a tweak to behave, I've noted it.

You'll find over 600 titles spread across the categories that matter in a repair café: VST plugins for bedroom producers, video downloaders and converters that still talk to today's sites, Office for getting paperwork done without a subscription, CAD and 3D tools for tinkerers, and a solid Audio section with DAWs like Ableton Live and Logic Pro. The Design shelf carries Adobe Photoshop and Affinity bits. Games and general Mac Apps round it off.

Popular downloads include Serum, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, Kontakt, SketchUp Pro, CrossOver and Microsoft Office. If you're nursing an old iMac or MacBook along, have a rummage.
